I'm Jess & my passion for reptiles began in 2010 when I brought my first bearded dragon home. I've learned a lot over the years and decided to turn my love for dragons into a hobby business which began in 2018 when I founded The Pale Dragon LLC.
I am very proud to be a mother to many dragons!
My dad has been working with me since I officially started The Pale Dragon LLC and I honestly couldn't do it without him!
He helps me at shows, manage communications, maintenance, & husbandry. We're very much a solid team!
We focus entirely on Bearded Dragons. We dedicate all our research and efforts into giving our dragons the best up-bringing possible. We give recommendations based on experience, not here-say, and we're always looking to improve and adapt our practices when new information comes to light!
We stand strongly by the fact that Bearded Dragons are the best pet reptile, especially for beginner hobbyists. They are hardy, very active, curious, live 8-10 years, and get large enough to be fun & adventurous pets, but never too large to handle.
Our Dragons have a room all to themselves. Admittedly, the massive amount of lighting required does not let the room get below 75 degrees, which sucks for us humans as we work down there, but the dragon's love it! The Lair is also down in the basement, which offsets some of the heat due the naturally cooler atmosphere of the house underground. Thus, it creates a wonderfully perfect balance temperature wise and makes it easy to keep a steady transfer of airflow between the hot room and colder rest of the basement!
The Pale Dragon is now on several new social media platforms and taking steps to release more pictures, video, and Live Streams between Twitch, Tiktok, & Youtube. I'm really excited to be taking this step as I share a more in-depth view of our continuing journey in breeding, healthy, happy dragons. Please consider following us on our Social Media! Additionally, I'm going to be needing some help and support to upgrade the lair for better production value!
Single Juveniles are raised in 10gal glass tanks until they are old enough to sell, while larger juvenile groups up to 5 live in larger tubs or empty Adult-sized enclosures of 40gal or more. We use sheet vinyl cut to size for substrate in all of our enclosures. It is easy to clean, doesn't harbor bacteria, and has an appealing aesthetic. We do use a variety of UVB lighting including Mercury Vapor Bulbs as well as 10.0 UVB T8s, both of which we change out every 6 months. Rocks are provided for basking juveniles & hides for Adults as both basking and brumation options. We keep dehydrated waxworms available 24/7 as well as small bowls of water (yes, dragons do drink sometimes) and feed a variety of greens, fruits, and veggies - as can be seen in Information, under Resources in our Feeding Guide - alongside home-raised Dubia Roaches.

These Dragons were retired from our breeding program and rehomed. For those adults we do have that have these old amazing dragons in their lines, we keep their genetic information logged here.
